Igls
- situated some 3,5 miles (5km) from Innsbruck - not only features
a breathtaking view over Innsbruck and idyllic scenery but also
boasts one of the best skiing mountains in the area, the Patscherkofel.
Exquisite downhill slopes and cross country ski tracks in the near
vicinity, many miles of prepared hiking trails, horse sleigh riding,
exhilarating toboggan rides , fun on the Igls ice skating rink and
on the Lanser Lake, well prepared sledding slopes and a good deal
more.
A complimentary
shuttle bus (from December 10th 2005 to 16th of April 2006)
offers guests the opportunity to discover the surrounding ski regions
and the Stubai Glacier.

SKIING
The
Olympia Skiworld Innsbruck offers well prepared downhill
slopes and deep snow areas for untarnished skiing pleasure well
into Spring. The Patscherkofel offers unlimited possibilities for
both beginners and expert skiers. Just 100m from our shop you will
find the bottom station of the ski lift Patscherkofelbahn, as well
as a small lift for beginners - so put on your skis and up the mountain
you go!

SNOWBOARDING
It goes without saying that the Olympia Skiworld Patscherkofel
provides some of the best terrain for snowboarders. Untrailed snow,
unique slopes and fun parks are waiting for you!
NIGHT SKIING
Enjoy the unique flair and excitement of night skiing every
Friday evening in Rinn, and every Wednesday and Saturday in Kühtai
and Gries im Sellrain.

experience in the techniques of ski touring as well as learning

Winter hiking, snowshoe hiking |
Winter
hiking, snowshoe hiking. For families with small kids as well as for
all those who want to take it easy during their winter holidays. Snow
hiking is a great change from all the high speed action on the slopes.
While walking along the easily accessible winter hiking trails
around Igls you will find a selection of typical mountain inns
and guesthouses inviting hikers to spend some time enjoying the cosy
warmth in a unique atmosphere.
For the little ones, you will find special sleighs with child safety
seats and belts.
Snowshoe hiking enjoys enormous popularity. Their ingenious
design distributes the weight across the broad but flat surface, preventing
you from sinking into the snow. By staying atop the soft snow walking
even long distances is almost effortless. Try it and enjoy walking
through the scenic back country aside from all traffic, enjoying nature
